Online Co-op Play

Play with up to three players — from party formation to revival mechanics.

Last updated:

One More Delve supports up to three players in online co-op. The co-op experience is widely considered the game’s strongest feature, with the natural emergence of tank-DPS-support roles creating satisfying team dynamics without any formal class system.

Party Formation

From the social hub:

  1. Open the party menu.
  2. Invite friends to your party.
  3. Once everyone is in the party, walk to a dungeon portal together.
  4. Enter the portal as a group.

You can also set your session to allow others to join mid-dungeon via the in-game options.

Three players is the sweet spot. VR.org’s reviewer noted: ‘Three is the sweet spot, and almost nobody picks it. Dungeons of Eternity got close. One More Delve nails it.’

Two players works but the experience is less balanced. Four players is not officially supported and community reports indicate significant logistical issues.

Natural Roles in Co-op

No formal class system exists. Roles emerge naturally:

The Tank

Runs sword and shield. Holds the front line, baits enemy attacks, and creates space for teammates. Reads enemy attack patterns to parry and counter effectively.

The DPS

Uses two-handed weapons to crash through groups of enemies. Needs coordination with the tank to ensure safe swing space.

The Mage

Focuses on fire and lightning spells for burst damage. Also carries healing-adjacent spells where available. Needs protection when enemies close in.

Revival Mechanics

If a player dies, a teammate can revive them by holding their hand out at the revival prompt that appears near the fallen player. Key rules:

  • The revival prompt only appears if a living player is close enough.
  • During revival, both the reviving player and the downed player are vulnerable.
  • If all players die simultaneously, the run ends and everyone returns to the hub with their banked loot (carried loot is lost).

Server Stability

The May 2026 server stability updates improved co-op reliability significantly. Some networking hiccups still occur. If you are frequently disconnected, check your internet connection and ensure UPnP is enabled on your router.

The official Discord at discord.gg/GC4CqRebvF is the best place to find co-op partners.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about One More Delve.

Can I play with randoms online?

Yes. You can set your session to public in the options menu, allowing random players to join your dungeon run. You can also browse public sessions from the hub.

Is cross-play supported between Steam and Quest?

No. SteamVR and Meta Quest versions are separate. Players on Steam can only play with other Steam players, and Quest players can only play with other Quest players.

What should I do if I get disconnected during a run?

You are dropped from the session. Your banked loot is safe. Any carried loot at the time of disconnection is lost. The server stability improvements in May 2026 have reduced disconnection frequency, but it still occurs occasionally.
