The hybrid build is the most versatile loadout in One More Delve. Equip a one-handed melee weapon on your left hand and a spell on your right, and you have an answer for every situation: ranged burst when mana is full, reliable melee damage when it is not.
Why Hybrid Works
No single combat style is optimal for every moment in a dungeon. Magic depletes. Melee requires positioning. Hybrid gives you a response for both states. Most experienced One More Delve players eventually settle into a hybrid loadout.
Rotation Strategy
- Enter a room with magic ready.
- Identify the biggest threat — usually the enemy closest to you or a boss.
- Cast your spell rapidly to open with burst damage.
- When mana runs low, switch to your melee weapon.
- Use melee to clean up the remainder of the encounter.
Equipment Recommendations
- Left hand: one-handed sword (fast, reliable)
- Right hand: fire or lightning spell (your preference)
- Shoulder slot: a bow for ranged enemies you cannot reach, or a backup melee weapon
- Belt: health potions, pickaxe, and any emergency consumables
Co-op Synergy
In three-player co-op, hybrid players make excellent secondary damage dealers. You can support your tank with spell burst while maintaining the option to draw a weapon if an enemy closes the distance.
