Solo Survival Build

Everything you need to conquer One More Delve without a party.

Last updated:

One More Delve is designed around three-player co-op, but solo play is fully viable. Solo play puts the full burden of damage, survivability, and resource management on you alone — which makes the right build critical.

Solo Loadout

  • Left hand: Shield. Defense is non-negotiable in solo play.
  • Right hand: Spell (fire or lightning) for burst on priority targets.
  • Shoulder slot: A one-handed weapon for sustained damage when spells are on cooldown.
  • Belt: Maximum health potions. You need more than in co-op.

Key Differences From Co-op

No revives: In co-op, a teammate can pull you back from death. Alone, a death sends you back to the social hub with all carried loot.

Threat priority: Without a teammate to hold aggro, enemies will swarm you. Use your spell for burst on the most dangerous single target rather than spreading damage.

Loot management: Solo runs keep all loot. This makes crafting progression faster per run, but each run is higher stakes.

Dungeon Difficulty Recommendation

Start with Dungeon Level 1 and 2 to learn enemy patterns and upgrade your gear. Dungeon 3 introduces meaningfully harder enemies. Dungeon 4 and 5 are challenging but manageable solo with good gear.

When to Retreat

If you are below half health and have used two or more potions, consider retreating to the hub. The social hub is always accessible and lets you craft upgrades, restore full health, and re-enter.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about One More Delve.

Is solo play viable in One More Delve?

Yes. Many players prefer solo for the challenge and full loot control. Solo play is fully supported and intentionally designed, with the social hub providing a safe base between runs.

What is the hardest part of solo play?

Managing multiple enemies at once without a teammate to split aggro. Using a shield and maintaining distance with spells helps significantly.

Should I use a bow as my ranged option in solo?

Bows are viable but require precise aim and manual arrow nocking. For solo play, magic is generally more practical because it requires no aiming or nocking and delivers immediate damage.
